Initially formed in Abu Dhabi, desert-flavoured alt rock power trio Humongous Fungus has a sound to match the organism for which it is named. Comprising the aggressive, distorted guitars and rough-and-ready vocals of Willow Grieves, the thundering bass and dulcet tones of Selina Louise, and the pounding, vibrant drumming of Venus, The Bringer of Peace Herself, Fungus interweaves loud, muff-ridden riffs with the remnants of its sludgey, psychedelic roots.
