Still Alive (And Kicking) features internationally acclaimed musicians including violinist, Dr Julian Ferraretto and Dylan Paul on double bass, framing Hicks’ soulful jazz voice and her powerful projected artworks, leaving audiences spellbound by the visual and sensory feast.
Gill Hicks is one of the most thought provoking, powerful and life affirming speakers in Australia. She is globally known as a survivor of the London terrorist Bombings on 07 Jul 2005. She survived, but suffered severe and permanent injuries, losing both legs from just below the knee.

Gill Hicks
Gill Hicks is an Australian motivational speaker, author, curator, and trustee for several cultural organisations. She is the founder of the London-based not-for-profit M.A.D for Peace. She began her career as a speaker in the wake of the 7 July 2005 London bombings. She was the last living victim rescued. Both her legs were amputated below the knee, and her injuries were so severe that she was initially not expected to live. She was admitted to St Thomas' Hospital without a name, identified only as "One Unknown".
