The mighty Reg D Hunter returns to E17 to try out material for Edinburgh Festival and an upcoming tour. Georgia-born Reginald D Hunter’s searingly honest observations both onstage and on TV and Radio have garnered him a cross-generational fan base. He has become one of the Comedy industry’s best-known performers for his distinctive take on the most diverse range of subjects.
His TV appearances have included Live at the Apollo, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, QI and Have I Got News For You? He also filmed two series of the BBC2’s hugely popular Reginald D Hunter’s Songs of the South & Songs of The Border

Originally from the Deep South of the USA, and now one of the North West's favourite comics. Reg is one of the good guys of comedy. A hypnotic, smooth-talking, very human comedian who hits your funny bone with tales of love, hate, death and all that is in between.
Reginald has been in the UK for just under two decades and in that time he has become one of the UK Comedy industry’s best-known performers for his distinctive take on subjects including race and sexuality. His work can be brutally honest and is often considered to be controversial but it is always meticulously thought out and he has never been afraid to face challenging issues head on even when the focus is on his own principles or beliefs.
Reg has had a hugely successful career and has become a well-known face of primetime television shows such as Live At The Apollo, and is a frequent guest on Have I Got News For You.
