Minnie & The Moochers play an eclectic mix of retro Swing, Jazz & Jump-Blues. The band’s repertoire ranges from 1930s’ swing, such as Duke Ellington’s ‘It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Aint Got That Swing', to 1940s jump-blues, such as Dinah Washington’s ‘I Know How To Do It’ and 1950s jazz classics, like Peggy Lee’s ‘Why Don’t You Do Right?’. The band is lead by Dave Piggott on guitar, with Katryna Abel on vocals, supported by Al Nicholls on sax, Pete Feldon on bass and Martin Grubb on drums. This band are hot on the swing-dance scene, and are not to be missed if you are a lover of toe-tapping swing, jazz and jump-blues at its best.
