Hastings born singer-songwriter Poppy Prescott draws any crowd to silence with her soft soulful vocals and folk-style storytelling. Growing up surrounded by musicians, Poppy began performing live long before she was allowed to be hanging around music venues. Some of the highlights include performances at WOMAD & Hastings Fat Tuesday and support slots for Keane & Barbara Dickson. Poppy has earned her voice and crafted her performance to draw you in. Alongside her folk guitar playing, informed by Adrienne Lenker and Nick Drake, are eclectic accompaniments for fans of Radiohead and Sam Amidon. She's accompanied on stage by collaborators Dan McConkey (saxophone, synth), Myra Brownbridge (double bass, backing vocals), Keir Tyson (guitar) & Josh Walker-Martin (drums).
