Mothership (Work in Progress)

‘We are in a coastal area of the UK – somewhere old white people go to retire. We are at the peak of a particularly mountainous trail. It looks like the kind of place you’d find Bear Grylls drinking his own piss or something. LOLADE is sitting on a rock, waiting.’

Desperate to escape from it all, Lolade attempts to hitch a ride from some other-worldly beings… Planets, uneaten pizzas, hi-vis jackets, therapists, colanders, crescent moons, sickled cells, school teachers and hope. One last crumb of hope. Olamide Ajisafe plays Lolade in this work in progress performance of ‘Mothership’.
