About the show
Don’t miss the only London headline show booked for 2026 by the Creation Records originals, who are touring again in 2026 to support a new album.
Last year’s comeback shows were sold out across the country – and beyond, with a headline slot at the Paris Popfest among an array of notable performances.
The Loft will be playing songs old and new in this one-off midsummer outing at the Water Rats for their pals at Club Precious, which has rapidly established a reputation for hot tickets on the London indie circuit. Special guests to be announced in due course.

Featuring
The Loft
The Loft caused major ructions on the indie scene of the mid-80s by providing a Radio One single of the year with their debut, ‘Why Does The Rain’ and the fledgling Creation Records’ first ever number one with its follow up, ‘Up The Hill and Down The Slope’ before splitting up in a cloud of acrimony in front of 3,000 fans onstage at the Hammersmith Palais. Lauded by the Manic Street Preachers, the Wedding Present and REM, the band was recently tagged as ‘seminally seminal’ by Steve Lamacq and features in the award-winning 2010 movie ‘Upside Down – The Story Of Creation Records’.
