Conduit is an exploration of connection. How the elements intersect with our lives in both nourishing and harrowing ways, and how we intersect within the world with the same dichotomy. Through a programme of composed, improvised and open-form works, Conduit brings together five femme artists from across the London jazz-zeitgeist. Using music, meditation, soundscapes, synthesis, loops and samples, Bridget Walsh, Rosie Turton, Isobella Burnham, Momoko Gill and Jan Halen will create and co-regulate in real time, exploring everything from wildfires to revolution, misogyny to mutual-aid, lullabies to Land Back.
Conduit aims to use the mediums of traditional and non-traditional jazz instrumentation to explore and reflect how our lives intersect and interact with the world around us, both close to home and further afield. As experienced and compassionate artists and performers, our goal is to find symbiosis between our own lived experiences, the energy we receive from our audiences, and the spaces in which we are performing.

Rosie Turton
Cited by The Guardian as ‘One To Watch’ and nominated for Jazz FM’s ‘Breakthrough Act of the Year’, trombonist, composer and producer Rosie Turton continues her rise since releasing her debut ‘Rosie’s 5ive’, with Jazz Re:freshed. Rosie's music tells the tales of meditative soundscapes and improvisations, blurring the lines between the acoustic and electronic universes. 2021 saw the release of her latest EP ‘Expansions and Transformations: Part I & II’, exploring themes of impermanence, showcasing Rosie’s growing voice as a producer and was championed on the radio by Gilles Peterson, Jamie Cullum, Iggy Pop & WWFM amongst others. Rosie's musicality is unbound by genre: from collaborations with collective Nérija to performing and recording with Nu Civilisation Orchestra, Camilla George, Soweto Kinch, Jitwam, Nwando Ebizie, and Dan Samsa.
