RISE: Past, Present and Future Talent, an extraordinary concert curated by the acclaimed Nitin Sawhney CBE—an Ivor Novello Lifetime Achievement Award-winner and global music visionary. On this special night, the Roundhouse will come alive as Future Talent’s exceptionally gifted young musicians take centre stage alongside special guests, who have paved the way before them.

Hosted by Alexander Armstrong, this intimate, in-the-round concert celebrates the evolution of music, from the past to the present and beyond, exploring how the power of live performance remains invaluable in a fast-changing, tech-driven world. Together, we will mark 20 years of Future Talent—a milestone for the charity co-founded by HRH The Duchess of Kent and Nicholas Robinson—showcasing the next generation of fearless, boundary-pushing musicians who are set to shape the future of music.

Be among the first to experience live performances from Future Talent’s 20th Anniversary Album, written by Future Talent’s young musicians, produced by James Hawkins and curated by Nitin Sawhney himself. This multi-genre album, also featuring the Hallé, VOCES8, and the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain, is a true testament to the incredible creativity of young artists and the power of music to unite generations.

Don’t miss your chance to support the future of music—all profits from the concert will go directly towards Future Talent’s vital mission of breaking down barriers, creating opportunities, and transforming the lives of talented young musicians from low-income backgrounds across the UK.

Nitin Sawhney

Since 1999 and the release of his ground-breaking album, Beyond Skin, Nitin has successfully navigated a career in the arts that can only be described as polymathic. The British composer, producer, songwriter, album artist, club DJ, broadcaster, multi-instrumentalist and orchestrator holds six honorary doctorates, two fellowships, an honorary degree, the 2017 Ivor Novello Lifetime Achievement Award and most recently a CBE. Nitin Sawhney has some 50 movie scores to his name, the most recent being the Netflix/Warner Bros Mowgli. Directed by Andy Serkis and starring Christian Bale, Benedict Cumberbatch and Cate Blanchett, Sawhney wrote the full original score for the film.

Alexander Armstrong

Alexander Armstrong embarks on his first ever stand-up tour with ‘All Mouth and Some Trousers’ in Autumn 2019. A brand new and “deliciously irreverent” account of a career that has taken him from Armstrong & Miller, to presenting, documentary making, singing and – ultimately – taking his rightful place as the Voice Of Toilet Duck. There will be shocking candour There will be comic songs There will – please God – be trousers
