After many years of creating and performing together, Paya is moving on to focus on film-music and being closer to her family (where she can live that peaceful countryside life without sprinting to London rehearsals every five minutes). We?re incredibly proud of her and excited for what she?s creating next.

Meanwhile, Steppy somehow managed to find the perfect new recorder wizard: Olivia Petryszak. She?s fast, fiery, and plays with a joyful spark in her eye! Olivia has already written her first new song with us and is throwing loads of new, creative magic into the songs you already know.

So yes: the tradition continues and the whirlwind recorder energy lives on! And we?re so exited to introduce Olivia to you.

This show is essentially:

- Paya passing the sacred recorder torch (a.k.a. the sceptrecorder)
- Olivia catching it with no fear whatsoever
- Us playing our hearts out
- You dancing, probably cheering... definitely smiling!

We chose The Others because it?s one of those places that actually feels like a community arts space. We found it through @alexakalmusic (who you?ll remember from our gig at The Water Rats) and the Oneness Jams Community, and it felt like the right place to share this moment with the people we care about. Expect relaxed vibes, zero pretence, and lots of shared warmth.

So, from the heart, we welcome you to come and celebrate the past, present and the even more wild and innovative future of PerKelt.

Bring your friends, your joy, your feet (for dancing), and maybe a tissue just in case.

We can?t wait for what?s ahead x

PerKelt appearing at this event

PerKelt draw inspiration from pagan spirituality, ancient folklore melodies and poetry, and their inner urge to play fast, dance and to have as much fun on the stage as their audience in front. Merging the sound of flutes, fiddles, african tribal drums, guitars, harp and haunting vocals; stirring in the pagan poetry, enchanting atmosphere, genuine spontaneity and absolute passion for their music; they bring in the genre of their own, best described as 'pagan speed folk'.
