The Fiery Furnaces

After a childhood apparently wrought with fights, abuse and severely conflicting musical interests, siblings Eleanor and Matt Friedberger had left their existence of mutual torment behind in favour of exploring Europe apart, only to return to the USA and work together on music, playing as The Fiery Furnaces in 2000, incorporating folk, blues and classic rock into their simplistic indie-pop sound.
