La Roux burst onto the scene in 2009 with her Grammy-winning self-titled debut album and era-defining hits “In for the Kill” and “Bulletproof”. La Roux not only put synth-pop on the map with this album, but redefined pop music in the late 2000s, paving the way for other synth-pop artists to reach the mainstream. This trailblazing spirit quickly  transcended music, and became known for her distinct androgynous style and non-conformist attitude, challenging the traditional expectations of what a pop star should look and act like. Her 2014 album Trouble in Paradise and 2020’s Supervision explored sounds that spanned genres, and her latest work will continue to push those boundaries.=
