The street sounds of the Colombia’s Caribbean meets merengue, champeta, punk, and hip-hop with precise percussion and inventive vocals.
Formed in 2014, the trio quickly made their mark, winning Best Emerging Group at Sucre’s Festival de Gaitas de Ovejas in 2015.
Over the past decade, they’ve toured the globe, collaborating with the likes of Frente Cumbiero, La Dame Blanche, and Nubya Garcia along the way.
On stage, La Perla are compelling and immersive: intricate vocal lines, ancestral drums, and an energy that honours tradition whilst pushing it forward.

La Perla
The story of La Perla is the one of women artists, disciples of the musical tradition of the Colombian Caribbean, who met during the last decade, to cultivate, harvest and share a cultural heritage, confluent in spaces of innovation, to the point of producing an original sound with a very singular attitude and charisma.
Today La Perla is composed of Diana San Miguel, Karen Forero, Lali De la Fauz and Giovanna Mogollón, all multi-instrumentalists and vocalists La Perla is bullerengue, cumbia, merengue, gaita, and Creole champeta.
