About the show
ONMO is a 6 piece contemporary Jazz ensemble led by guitarist and composer Jean de Talhouët. The music is dynamic and broad ranging, inspired by jazz greats such as Wayne Shorter and Joe Henderson, as well as contemporary composers such as Nik Bartsch and Steve Reich. Blending spiritual grooves, polyrhythms, modal harmony, it is in turn aerial and uplifting, dense and brooding, contemplative, yearning, enlivening, inspiring movement/dance. This music is a wish to celebrate the vital energy that exists in all living things, like a dance through hope and grief deepening our existential journey.
