Deciphers

Deciphers is a moving, multi-sensory, contemporary piece blending elements of Chinese Folk Dance, Brazilian movement, spoken word, breathwork, and ink on paper to explore what is gained, and lost, in translation.

Wang and Abreu use the stage as their blank canvas, highlighting the body as a primal source for communication where gestures, words, and mark-making attempt to cultivate a mutual understanding. The result is a mesmerising, beautiful work by two artists international in talent and scope.
