The Producers of Burlesque the Musical, based on the iconic Golden Globe Best Picture nominated film Burlesque, starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, are thrilled to announce its highly anticipated West End premiere. This follows the show’s record-breaking previews with over 120k tickets sold, where audiences agreed it’s the most exciting movie musical to come to the stage in decades.

Burlesque the Musical will begin performances at the Savoy Theatre on The Strand on Thursday 10 July 2025 and run until Saturday 6 September 2025.

When Ali heads to New York in search of her mother, she finds herself drawn into a dazzling underground world where the beat of the music and the heat of the dance moves will change her life forever. Ali will unwittingly find her extraordinary voice and a most unlikely family of misfits, dreamers, and schemers.

Burlesque The Musical

When Ali heads to the bright lights of New York in search of her long-lost mother, she finds herself drawn into a dazzling underground world where the beat of the music and the heat of the dance moves will change her life forever. Among this unlikely family of misfits, dreamers and schemers, Ali will unwittingly find her real voice, discover her talent, and find where she really, truly belongs. Written by Steven Antin, with additional material by Kate Wetherhead, and directed and choreographed by Nick Winston, Burlesque The Musical is a scintillating journey of self-discovery that absolutely sizzles with songs by Christina Aguilera, Sia and Diane Warren, alongside additional songs by Jess Folley and Todrick Hall.

Orfeh

Orfeh is a Tony and Grammy Award nominee who most recently starred as Kit De Luca in Pretty Woman the Musical on Broadway. Her other Broadway credits include: Paulette in Legally Blonde, Saturday Night Fever, Fascinating Rhythm and Footloose. Her TV work credits include Sex and the City and Law and Order.

Todrick Hall

Todrick Hall has become an inspirational, larger-than-life character, simply by embracing everything he wants to be to become everything he can be. With over 800 million views at YouTube, he’s collaborated with Beyoncé, and starred in a selection of Broadway smashes. Billboard’s cover story summarised his huge appeal: “He’s part old-school theatre showman, part new-school internet personality, part drag queen… he’s also pushing the boundaries of LGBTQ representation in a business that has historically been unwelcoming to queer people of colour.” Todrick’s unstoppable, self-sustained rise has taken him a long way from his roots in the tiny Texan town of Plainview. He quickly went from national fame on American Idol to international attention through RuPaul’s Drag Race to commanding a huge global following on social media. And that’s before you even factor in his Broadway runs in Kinky Boots, Chicago and Waitress, or his role as dance captain on the BBC’s Greatest Dancer.
