Club FFRUK returns with a special Christmas edition — a night where chaos meets community, sound meets soul, and the underground rises as one. This isn’t just a gig; it’s a gathering of rebels, creators, and anyone who still believes in the raw spirit of music.

The Line-Up

Tara Rez (The Duel / FFRUK Co-Founder)
“This isn’t just a party — it’s a reunion of rebels, a safe space for the wild hearts, and a celebration of the punk spirit that’s never stopped evolving.”

Segs Jennings (The Ruts / Ruts DC)
“Music’s always been about truth, energy, and unity. FFRUK nights bring that all together — raw and real. And this Christmas? We’re going all in.”

Mechanical Cabaret
Gritty synths, biting lyrics, and a dark-disco pulse that keeps feet moving and minds spinning.

Lesley Woods (The Au Pairs)
A post-punk icon performing a rare solo set — political, poetic, and powerful.

CatFight
A fierce new punk/post-punk/electro outfit already making serious noise on the DIY circuit.

Very Special Guests
Some announced, some not… if you know, you know.

The Duel

The Duel appearing at this event

The Duel, Punk, Synth Punk, Post Punk Anarcho Since 2001 Rez is a troubadour, whose poetry is designed to be literally sung rather than inscribed for the discreet pleasure of the solitary read. Fluid complexity exists in the lyrics covering politics, feminism, intellectual and personal freedom. Tara fits squarely into punk avant-garde, along with artists like the Slits and Patti Smith who challenged masculine assumptions of the genre. - Pól Ó Géibheannaigh Gig Review Concorde 2 2023 Frontwoman Tara Rez's vocals are pulled in as many directions as the music itself. She can sound as elegant as Pauline Murray one minute, as exhilarating as Fay Fife the next, shriek like a banshee, or more accurately Poly Styrene, or sound as aggressive as Siouxsie Sioux herself. Jo-Anne Green, All Music Tara’s original songwriting is a complete treat. That and a voice that is truly expressive and unique sounding. Honesty amongst a world of fakery and fools. Highly recommended. - Kirk Brandon Spear Of Destiny, Theatre Of Hate, The Pack Soundtrack To The End Of The World is a credible piece of imagination with its tracks nothing less than satisfying and enthralling. The Duel has been to the fore of UK punk for the past few years and shows no signs of leaving their position to anyone else as the album proves".

Au Pairs

Au Pairs appearing at this event

Au Pairs formed in late 1978 in Birmingham, UK in the post-punk era. They were a much-loved band who combined fun, dancey music with an innovative and, for that time, a daringly progressive message. In their original form they were 2 women and 2 men, the objective being to show that women and men can work together as equals. Lesley Woods led the band as frontperson, lead singer, songwriter and guitarist. Lesley was once described as “”one of the most striking women in British rock”. Their first album 'Playing With A Different Sex' is a post-punk classic and focusses on gender and other politics. A critic from The Guardian praised it for its “viciously well-observed lyrics on contemporary life, love and the role of women “. The band is re-forming beginning 2026 when they commence a UK tour with Lesley Woods and new members. The 2 women / 2 men balance remains . Au Pairs blend political lyrics with a tough funk-dance-rock idiom which is as relevant today as it ever was.
