Denny Ilett Band

During one of his final interviews in 1970 Jimi Hendrix was asked what the new decade held for him musically. His answer was “I’d like a big band that I can write and conduct for”. In 2018, guitarist Denny Ilett - a lifelong Hendrix devotee - formed the Electric Lady Big Band to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of Jimi’s 1968 masterpiece Electric Ladyland. The group then recorded and released their take on Electric Ladyland, Hendrix’s unique mix of blues, rock, funk, jazz and psychedelia.
