Los Angeles singer-songwriter Andy Grammer is inspired by artists as varied as Lauryn Hill, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Coldplay and Common. He took his self-written songs to the streets of Los Angeles, armed with an amplifier powered by a car battery and his acoustic guitar, and managed to sing his way from the streets to a record deal.
