About the show

A comedy about the strange and destructive effects of an artwork on a place, the compulsion to record our experiences, and the consequences of when we do. Set in the present day, the piece centres around Grace Thoth, a renowned author who returns to the café of her hometown for the first time in nine years - only to find it is now a gift-shop museum dedicated to her and her novel.

The Sequel examines authorship, legacy, and stagnation, and how the stories we tell - about ourselves, our communities, and each other - can elevate people into myths and reduce them to objects.
