Pierre Novellie


Award-winning comedian Pierre Novellie comes to Machynlleth to try some new stuff out. Pierre is co-host of The Frank Skinner Show on Absolute Radio, and his television appearances include World’s Most Dangerous Roads (Dave), The Mash Report (BBC2), and Stand Up Central (Comedy Central). Pierre’s first book Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things?: A Comedian’s Guide to Autism was published by Bonnier in 2024.


In audio, Pierre co-hosts the hit BudPod podcast alongside Glenn Moore which has over 3.5million downloads, has performed on The Now Show and The News Quiz (Radio 4), and hosts the BBC Sounds podcast series Obsessed With… SAS: Rogue Heroes. As a writer, Pierre was a regular writer on the rebooted Spitting Image (ITV/Britbox) and has also written on shows including Mock the Week (BBC2), The News Quiz (Radio 4) and The Mash Report (BBC2).

There is no reserved seating Downstairs. We can seat 70 and have 10 standing spaces. Your ticket guarantees entry, but if you want a good seat, please be with us by the advertised door opening time.
Please bring evidence of booking (i.e; your confirmation email). On phone is fine - save trees!
You can book tickets up to 6pm on the day of the show. After then, any remaining tickets will be sold on a first-come first-served basis on the door at the advertised “doors open” time.
Also please note that, as an intimate venue, we discourage large group bookings, so tickets are limited on this show to a MAXIMUM of 4 per person.
We want everyone to enjoy the show. Please don’t talk during the performance and ensure your mobile phone is turned off. You will be required to leave without refund if your behaviour is disruptive. No recording in any medium is allowed without prior permission.
Intoxicated persons will not be admitted.

Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Glenn Moore is a comedian, actor and one of the best and most prolific joke writers in the country. Glenn is a regular face on TV, having appeared on Mock The Week (BBC), Rob Delaney’s Stand Up Central (Comedy Central) and The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2). He is a staff writer on CITV’s sketch comedy show Scrambled, and has written for BBC’s The Mash Report, Play To The Whistle, and Russell Howard’s Good News. He’s also known for his silly, off-beat one-liners on Twitter, which have earned him a huge following.

Pierre Novellie

Pierre Novellie appearing at this event
One of Mother Comedy's most exciting recent births, Pierre was born in Johannesburg in South Africa but moved to the Isle of Man when he was a boy. He studied Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at Cambridge where he was Vice President of the Cambridge Footlights, touring the United States with their 2012 show 'Perfect Strangers' after a sell-out month at the Edinburgh Fringe. Amused Moose Laugh Off winner.
