Tomorrow's Warriors Youth Ensemble is a band punching well above their weight - a unique sextet aged 15-19, the band boasts exceptional talent. They are one of Tomorrow's Warriors flagship development groups, mentored by Denys Baptiste - one of the most acclaimed British saxophonists of the 21st century - as well as Binker Golding, Sultan Stevenson, and Gary Crosby OBE. With influences ranging from bebop and hard bop to spiritual jazz and fusion, expect a varied, dynamic, and exciting set!
Band Line-up: Yuma Angius-Thomas (drums), Aleksandra Dimitrova (bass), Oliver Parikian (keys), Sheon Toms (guitar), Fred Harris (tenor sax), and Nahuel Angius-Thomas (bassoon).
For over 30 years, Tomorrow’s Warriors has played a vital role within its community and the wider music industry and has been credited with literally changing the face of UK jazz.
A Black-founded and Black-led organisation, Tomorrow’s Warriors offers a pioneering, comprehensive programme of learning and training which champions and supports young Black and female talent and those who come from challenging circumstances that would be a barrier to accessing opportunities to pursue a music career.
