The critically-acclaimed Lokkhi Terra return to Jamboree, taking us on a musical journey from the melas of Bangladesh to the streets of Habana, via the districts of Lagos and on to a bustling club in London.
Lokkhi Terra is a London-based world music collective known for mixing the different traditions that surround them in London - whether its Cuban rumba with Bengali folk, or Afro-beat played on Asian and Latin instruments, or South African township mixed with Indian classical and jazz.
Lokkhi Terra
Lokkhi Terra is a music project created by UK/Bangladeshi musician Kishon Khan - combining Bangladeshi music traditions with those from Africa and Latin America - creating a sound that can truly be called "world music". A musical journey taking you from the melas of Bangladesh to the streets of Habana, via some districts in Lagos on to a bustling club in London.
