Khruangbin

Khruangbin is a three-piece band from Texas, formed of Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald Johnson on drums. Taking influence from 1960's Thai funk - their name literally translates to 'Engine Fly' in Thai - Khruangbin is steeped in the bass heavy, psychedelic sound of their inspiration, Tarantino soundtracks and surf-rock cool.

Palace

London based four-piece Palace are a self-described alternative blues-rock group with an extremely laid-back style. The band formed in September 2012 and comprised Leo Wyndham, Rupert Turner, Will Dorey, and Matt Hodges. Their enchanting blues rock jams are a joy to behold, and they took a stellar rise from blog exposure to record label signing frenzy, eventually joining Fiction Records.

NoSo

Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs before moving to California as a teenager, NoSo is shorthand for North/South: a nod to their Korean heritage, and the inane origin question (“Which Korea are you from?”) that so many Korean Americans inevitably face at some point in their lives. Hwong’s writing often indirectly grapples with the insecurities and frustrations that can arise from the Asian American experience.
