Born in Philadelphia, Norman Connors started his career as drummer with John Coltrane, Archie Shepp and Pharaoh Sanders releasing his debut album, ‘Dance of Magic', as a bandleader in 1972. Norman Connors’ back catalogue features rare groove and jazz-dance classics such as ‘Mother of the Future’, ‘Captain Connors’, ‘Mr. C’, ‘Once I’ve Been There’, ‘Phoenix’, ’Stella’, ’Samba for Maria’ and many more.
