Hermeto Pascoal

Brazilian-born multi-instrumentalist with an intoxicating blend of jazz, rock and Brazilian music. Described by Miles Davis as “one of the most important musicians on the planet” and nicknamed the ‘Sorcerer’, he is a unique musician and composer whose work has been a profound influence on British jazz musicians. He is as likely to produce a piece for kitchen utensils as to improvise solos on keyboard or flute – or be found leading his long established, infectiously swinging Brazilian band in partnership with the all star British band formed back in the 90s to play his exhilarating big band music.
