Saturdays at Backyard Comedy Club in Bethnal Green is the best weekend night out in London.

Steve Williams

More topical than Trevor MacDonald, Steve is one of the tallest guys on the circuit and certainly one of the most original. His Welsh genes allow him to have a totally different aspect on life although he hasn't lost any of the traditional Welsh values, including their fondness for sheep. He has supported Lee Mack on tour, appeared on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and was nominated for a Chortle Award. Steve never fails to surprise and engage audiences with his hybrid of bizarre stories, larger than life physicality, spontaneous improvisation and skewed view of everyday life. Prince Abdi

A relative newcomer who has the material and confidence of a full time comic. He has a lovely style in his delivery - pacy, upbeat and infectious - that makes the audience warm to him. Set pieces such as his Bollywood and Nollywood reconstruction capitalise on that energy well.

David Alfie Ward

David Alfie Ward is a British comedian born and raised in the east end of London. He started his stand up career in a small bar in his hometown, and has since gone on to play some of the biggest clubs in the U.K, Mainland Europe, South Africa, South East Asia, the Middle East, USA and Australia.
