Calling all football fans and comedy lovers! Goals & Giggles is a brand-new event bringing together the beautiful game and brilliant stand-up for a night of laughs, games, and friendly banter.

Hosted at Backyard Comedy Club, the evening kicks off with Feverpitch – a fast-paced, football-themed dice game that's easy to play and guaranteed to get the crowd going. Come early, grab a drink, and get involved!

Then it's time for the main event: a stand-up comedy show with a football twist. Comedians representing rival clubs go head-to-head in hilarious roast battles, with plenty of surprises along the way. Expect top-level banter, no VAR required.

Judging the chaos are a stellar guest panel:
Rachel Fairburn (Live at the Apollo)
Andrew Mensah (Sky Sports, TNT Sports)
Tony D (Battle rap royalty & one of the GOATs)

Whether you're red or blue, Premier League or non-league – this is a fun, welcoming night for all fans of the game. Football shirts encouraged but not essential – just bring your sense of humour.

David Alfie Ward

David Alfie Ward is a British comedian born and raised in the east end of London. He started his stand up career in a small bar in his hometown, and has since gone on to play some of the biggest clubs in the U.K, Mainland Europe, South Africa, South East Asia, the Middle East, USA and Australia.

Rachel Fairburn

Rachel Fairburn is an English comedian as well as co-host and co-writer of the worldwide smash hit All Killa No Filla podcast. She has been a staple of the Edinburgh Fringe since 2014, with 6 critically acclaimed solo shows under her belt and featured in the ‘40 jokes of the fringe’ by the Daily Telegraph in 2018 and ‘Best Jokes from Edinburgh Fringe 2022’ in The Times. A regular on the UK stand-up circuit, Rachel is also curator and host of the wildly popular ‘Comedian’s Stories’ night at the 2Northdown comedy club in London and appeared on BBC Presents: Stand Up For Live Comedy and Funny Festival Live, part of the BBC’s Festival of Funny.
