We’re really excited to have Nick Smart joining us for the very first time at the Highams Park Jazz Club jam session! Nick is an incredible trumpeter and conductor, and he leads the Jazz Programmes at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He’s an internationally renowned musician who has played with jazz greats like Dave Holland and Bob Brookmeyer, and he’s also a respected musical director and educator.
Nick will kick off the evening with the first set alongside our fantastic house band — Steve Rose on bass, Eric Ford on drums, and Soner Ersen on piano. After that, the second set will be a jam session open to everyone.
This is your chance not just to hear Nick play, but to join in and jam with him in a warm, welcoming, and friendly environment. Whether you want to get on stage or just listen, it’s going to be a fantastic evening full of great music and good vibes.
We have a fully licensed bar and delicious food available, making it the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the music. Entry is free for kids 16 and under, though adult supervision is required.
The session starts at 5pm. Get your tickets now to secure your place — you won’t want to miss this!
