About the show
Step back in time to the romance of the Jazz Age at London’s award-winning 1920s-themed party, with live jazz, cabaret and cocktails in a secret venue filled with candles, where everyone dresses the part.
With summer waiting in the wings, come and spend a May evening in our new south London venue—combining industrial chic with intimate glamour, the place has just been refurbished and it’ll be our first event there.
To get your feet moving there will be live jazz, ragtime and swing music from BENOIT VIELLEFON AND HIS ORCHESTRA, old friends of the Candlelight Club. To give you some dance floor inspiration we’ll have Charleston routines from those irrepressible flappers THE GATSBY GIRLS. If you'd like to have a go yourself, our teachers Russell and Sara will be offering a FREE DANCE LESSON in the Charleston at the beginning of the evening.
When the band aren’t playing our DJs THE BEE'S KNEES will be spinning vintage vinyl. Presiding over proceedings will be our cabaret Host with the Most, CHAMPAGNE CHARLIE.
Elsewhere tarot reader Lucius of SPHINX TAROT will be on hand to glimpse into your future and Michelle of from KRAUSZ JEWELLERY will be running her vintage jewellery shop.
You can come just for drinks and dancing, but you can also reserve a table with Champagne, or book the three-course dinner. There’s even an inclusive-drinks option. Ticket-holders receive an email two days before revealing the secret location (which is a stone's throw from a tube station).

Benoit Viellefon et son Orchestre
Benoit Viellefon is a French crooner a la mode vintage. He created his orchestra in London England to perform the gorgeous ballroom dance music that was played in Europe, Cuba, Russia and the USA during the 1920s to the early 1950s.
The orchestra, made of nothing but internationally renown musicians from France, Great Britain and Jamaica is rapidly establishing a fearsome reputation for its truly amazing live performance with dancers, lovers and listeners.

Champagne Charlie
CHAMPAGNE! Charlie was born in a wine cellar on a crate of champagne and has been singing since ’dear mother’ weened him on his first bottle of bubbles aged 2 and a half.
Charlie has been singing in some of London's glittering nightspots and cruising - the Caribbean that is - from theatres to festivals, where he has performed on many a shoddy erection! So come spend a night with Charlie. CHAMPAGNE!
