Jim Mullen

Jim Mullen is widely regarded as one of the finest jazz guitarists in Europe! Celebrating his 80th birthday tonight, he’s received numerous awards, including an Honorary Parliamentary Jazz Award in 2017. A master of touch, tone and swing he has long been hailed as “a true giant of British jazz guitar,” with universal praise for his “unmistakable voice” and “effortless fluency.” He made his name playing with seminal groups through the 70’s and 80’s, including his own highly acclaimed band “Morrissey-Mullen” as well as work with a host of high-profile artists. Joining him for this milestone gig will be some of his long-standing musical partners, the brilliant pianist Gareth Williams, powerhouse bassist Laurence Cottle and the ever-grooving drummer Tristan Mailliot.
