About the show

Emma Hatton is one of the leading ladies of West End theatre, appearing in some of London’s most popular musicals, including Wicked (Elphaba), Evita (Eva Peron), We Will Rock You and most recently, Tina, The Tina Turner musical (Rhonda Graam). However, in addition to collecting awards for her acting work she is also recognised as an impressive jazz and blues singer, with appearances at premier venues including Ronnie Scott’s and the Pizza Express. In 2015, Emma recorded her first EP with Anthony Strong entitled “Merry Christmas, Darling” and both this and her most recent Vinyl EP, “Thirty Three and a Third”, shot straight to Number 1 on the iTunes jazz charts. She has also toured internationally as lead vocalist with the world-famous PostModern Jukebox, spent much of 2019 supporting Jools Holland and sold out her first Cheltenham Jazz Festival show. For this 606 performance Emma will present her lovingly-curated tribute to the great singer and entertainer Nancy Wilson, who over a 50-plus year career released over 70 albums and won three Grammy awards. In the company of her brilliant band featuring Martin Shaw-trumpet, Emma will treat us to a wonderful night of music through song and story!

"A pint-sized powerhouse. She has grit, she has growl and her voice has the most amazing dynamics... she has that ability to send a genuine shiver down your spine.” Headliner Magazine; “Her voice has an extraordinary range…liquid loveliness” The Independent; “Hatton sings up a storm” Radio
