Uniri

North London-based drummer and producer, Chiminyo, introduces Uniri, a visionary musical project that embraces the spirit of new beginnings and collaboration. Uniri, coined by chiminyo, means "one unified dream" and really encapsulates his approach to crafting this extraordinary musical venture. The project materialised in Chiminyo's studio, where he invited exceptional musicians Amane Tsuganami (Jorja Smith, Maisha), Al Macsween (Nubya Garcia, Gary Bartz, Kefaya), and Luke Wynter (Nubyan Twist, Golden Mean) to engage in spontaneous improvisations and collective composition. These ideas, meticulously shaped and produced by Chiminyo became ‘Infinite Reflections’, their debut album, due on Astigmatic Records in March this year. This psychedelic, synth-laden, groove machine tap into their vibrant influences of the Beat Scene and UK Jazz scene, crafting a distinctive interpretation that is unmistakably theirs. And just as dreams manifest in unique forms, each Uniri experience promises to be an exceptional and reimagined sonic journey. The collaborative nature of the project ensures that each performance is a one-of-a-kind, evolving manifestation of artistic unity.
