Back by popular demand after a sold-out 2023 show, Mr. Scruff returns to Llangollen Fringe with another deep-dive journey through sound. A true crate-digger and boundary-pusher, the Manchester DJ, producer, and cartoonist is famed for his epic sets that effortlessly blend soul, funk, reggae, afrobeat, hip-hop, jazz, house, techno, and more—all stitched together with playful energy and serious musical knowledge.
Expect an unpredictable, high-energy night where no two sets are the same. With long-time collaborators MC Kwasi, VJ Jim, and sound wizard Bernardo Cappucino joining the ride, it’s a full-sensory experience of music, visuals, and pure vibe.

Mr Scruff
Initially inspired by the 2 Tone sound, the now legendary Ninja Tune DJ, Mr Scruff is famed for his awesome hip-hop sound, his epic six-hour sets and his sense of the comic. His sets are a mixture of deck-related wizardry and animated tom-foolery and will leave even the most hardened of anti-dance music critics grinning and boogieing the night away.
