Shane is a young man with a dream: to embody one of the biggest Liverpool legends in history. Though he shares an ambition no different to many of those around him, it soon transpires that Shane yearns for something far beyond football.

Following sell-out runs at The Hope Street Theatre and Liverpool’s Royal Court, Tip Tray Theatre present I Am Steven Gerrard, a story of love, loss, loneliness, and reality television.

Written by Sean McLoughlin and directed by Amy Roberts, it explores the complexities of masculinity, and what it means to be a real man in society today.
