Engelbert Humperdinck

Engelbert Humperdinck's is a truly illustrious career that began under the stage name Gerry Dorsey in the ’50s but exploded internationally when he became known as Engelbert Humperdinck in 1965. Enjoying rapid success he went on to top the charts for the first time in 1967, and he never looked back. Engelbert has sold over 150 million records worldwide, received four Grammy nominations, a Golden Globe for Entertainer of the Year, 63 gold and 24 platinum records and is one of only a handful of artists with a star on both the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Las Vegas Walk of Fame. To this day, Engelbert has remained a global star, and he was appointed an MBE in 2021 Birthday Honours List. Engelbert is best known, of course, for mega-hit Release Me [And Let Me Love Again], which was a No.1 in the UK but also a huge hit in the US. This charismatic performer has enjoyed eight huge UK Top Ten hits including of course The Last Waltz itself, as well as There Goes My Everything, Am I That Easy To Forget, A Man Without Love (Quando M’Innamoro), Les Bicyclettes de Belsize and The Way It Used To Be.
