About the show
Northern Poets Collective is a group of five acclaimed, Yorkshire-based writers and performers, formed after they appeared together at the BBC Contains Strong Language festival in Bradford, 2025: Nabeela Ahmed, Rachel Bower, Antony Dunn, Testament and Emily Zobel Marshall.
They offer a compelling mix of poetry, performance and conversation, exploring what on earth they mean when they describe themselves as 'northern'. And, indeed, as 'poets'. They sit at a crossroads, meshing the personal and political, critical and creative, using poetry to provoke, to resist - and to help us fall in love again, with others, with ourselves, with the natural world.
Meet them for their world premier as a collective!
