What can be a better start to the Christmas season than rousing singing and a brass band? This year HCS welcomes back on stage award-winning Black Dyke Band and our own HCS Voices for a concert full of festive treats.
For those who’ve never experienced the ‘Huddersfield Sound’, this is the perfect introduction to HCS. There’ll be powerful singing, exquisite hushed moments, foot-tapping band numbers – and of course the opportunity to raise the town hall roof yourselves.
With a heritage stretching back to 1855, the Black Dyke Band’s pedigree is almost as long as that of HCS. Over 350 recordings and numerous national and European competition titles have made the name Black Dyke synonymous with musical excellence.
‘Virtuosity of this order takes the breath away.’
