Ted Key + ViPs are currently performing London 0 Hull 40 – a celebration of The Housemartins’ debut album, played in full to mark its 40th anniversary.
Ted Key was the original bass player in The Housemartins and was with the band when they signed their record deal, released their first single, and recorded their first John Peel session. Now, four decades on, he has reunited with The ViPs to revisit this iconic material and bring it to life for audiences old and new.
The band recently appeared on BBC Radio Humberside, performing Sheep and Happy Hour live, and the response has been fantastic. With a set that blends nostalgia, energy, and musical authenticity, London 0 Hull 40 offers venues a unique opportunity to host a show that resonates with both long-time fans and new audiences discovering the songs for the first time.
