Described by Rolling Stone magazine as 'Britain's Best Kept Songwriting Secret, singer-songwriter Jan Allain is a true insiders gem!' For three decades her extensive independent career has earned her a devoted cult following in Germany where her massive non- deal album sales prompted Cooking Vinyl Records to finally sign her in 2000. She soon quit the deal after they turned down her Apple Size Golden Clitoris album (which smashed her DIY sales record, thanks to her LGBT fans). She kept control of her best work and returned to being totally independent again.

A classically trained cellist, experienced cabaret performer and singer-songwriter. She will charm, delight and massage the senses with her songs and narrative at both the cello and piano. Her show has been described as consisting of 'unique happenings at the cello and intimate confessions at the piano' and as 'a cross between Victoria Wood and Jim Tavare'.
