Grayshott Folk Club introduces: EABHAL (on tour from Scotland)
Saturday 2nd May 2026 at 7.30pm
Eabhal have made a significant impact on the Scottish music scene with their vibrant and energetic Folk music. The band’s distinctive West Coast sound and dedication to their craft have earned them a prestigious Folk Band of the Year nomination in the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards 2022 amongst multiple other awards and nominations over the past 10 years.
Eabhal have released two albums to date, the debut "This is How The Ladies Dance" in 2018 and the second "Aisling", released in 2022, showcasing an array of arrangements of Gaelic and English songs. The band’s focus on kinship and connection to people, land, elevation and language are all reflected in their music.
Although they all come from different backgrounds and places, each member was immersed in traditional music, and their collective passion for their craft is evident in every song and performance. Their two albums spawned extensive tours to stunning locations throughout the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and much of Europe.
In addition, the band has been fortunate enough to showcase their talents at World Music Asia in Shanghai and perform at various shows in the U.S.

Eabhal
Eabhal are four young musicians who met and began making music together on the Outer-Hebrides' Isle of Uist. Playing folk and traditional music from Scotland, Ireland, Asturias and further alongside self-penned tunes and Gaelic songs, they produce a melting pot of sound representing their very different backgrounds. Roy Campbell - Accordion. Jamie MacDonald - Fiddle. Nicky Kirk - Guitar. Hamish Hepburn - Bagpipes, Flute and Whistles. “A fantastic array of music, driving and catchy performed with a confidence and style beyond their years.” - Mick West, Scots Singer of the Year, Na Trads. "A brilliant sparky young band with their feet firmly rooted in their Highland and Island traditions" - Ann Martin. Previous performances include Ceol on the Croft Festival, Solfest, Celtic Connections and performances alongside Diamh and The Outside Track.
