May Sunday Coffee Concert

Welcome to the 12th season of Coffee Concerts, with members of the Hallé, at Spring Bank Arts. We?re delighted to welcome back many familiar faces, and some new players with a series of three concerts of music ranging from Haydn, Beethoven and Dvorak through to great American masterpieces.

On May 18th you can hear two great works from the piano trio repertoire. The heartfelt lyricism of Schumann's Phantasiestucke opus 88 opens the concert. This is followed by Beethoven's trio opus 70 no 2 which is the partner work to the more famous Ghost Trio. This Eb major trio, no 2 is considered to be one of Beethoven?s most subtle and much-loved chamber works.
