The Studio, Hartlepool, is proud to announce Gig for Victory, a dedicated fundraising concert taking place on Thursday, 19th February to support the Heugh Battery Museum. In a major show of community support, all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated directly to the museum to help preserve this unique historical site.
The Heugh Battery Museum stands as a vital piece of local and national history, being the site of the only World War I battlefield in the UK. To ensure its future, local musicians are stepping up to the stage for a night of high-energy entertainment.

Rhythm and Blues - yeah! The Sugar B's have been live and buzzing for over 16 years. We are one of the liveliest, tightest, and most entertaining bands currently gigging on the Tyneside / Teesside / North Yorks / Co Durham pub scene. We play a recipe of Rock, Pop and Blues, a good slug of RnB, a dash of Rock n Roll and a hint of Soul, although we have a pure blues set if required (it's actually downright dirty). We mainly play music from 50s through to the 80s, but we have numbers that fall outside that range. Our repertoire includes covers of numbers performed by: The Rolling Stones / The Beatles / Jimi Hendrix / Cream / Dr Feelgood / The Clash / Tina Turner / Steve Winwood / The Animals / Janis Joplin / The Kinks / Chuck Berry / The Beatles / Ray Charles / The Doobie Brothers /T-Rex / Canned Heat / Suzie Quatro / ZZ Top, and many many more! The Sugar B's have played venues large and small all over the area. We have supported artists as diverse as Nine below Zero (twice), the Nimmo Brothers (twice), Eddie and the Hot Rods and the John O' Leary band. As well as local pubs and clubs, we have played a range of venues, including Peterlee Carnival, Darlington Blues Club, Redcar RnB Club, Guisborough RnB club, The Great British RnB festival at Colne and even Jaks stage at Butlins Skegness!
