We are delighted to bring Nick Banks of Pulp to come and do an in conversation around his book ‘So It Started There’ and his life in Pulp (in which he mentions the band’s legendary gig for The Return Club at North Bridge Leisure Centre).
Nick Banks
Nick Banks started playing drums aged 14, inspired by Paul Cook from the Sex Pistols and Blondie’s Clem Burke. After watching many of Pulp’s early performances in Sheffield, he joined the group in 1986 because they were his favourite band. He remains a member of Pulp and also plays regularly in The Everly Pregnant Brothers. He lives in Sheffield and manages Banks Pottery, a family-owned business which was previously run by his mother.
