Join multi-award-winning trombonist Dennis Rollins for an evening with his simmering jazz funk trio, featuring Hammond organ virtuoso Ross Stanley and Joel Barford on drums, playing a brilliant marriage of refined contemporary jazz arrangements and smokin' grooves or, as the BBC Music Magazine has expressed it: " This group produces genuine fireworks". Dennis is a previous winner of the BBC Jazz 'Best Band' Award, the Parliamentary Jazz 'Education' Award; and the Ronnie Scott's 'Best Trombone' Award.
Dennis Rollins Velocity Trio
Generally acknowledged as the most exciting, entertaining and talented trombonist in Britain today, Dennis honed his skills with the National Youth Jazz Orchestras before joining Courtney Pine's pioneering 'Jazz Warriors'. The 'Velocity' Trio places Dennis alongside the funky drumming of Pedro Segundo and the groovy organ of Ross Stanley.
