About the show
Starring Raymond Mearns and Bruce Morton. Pat and Danny, two Celtic supporting childhood pals now in their early seventies, older men who view life through a green and white prism. They live in the past, they resent everyone under thirty and manage to find negatives in everything their team achieves. They are what’s disparagingly known as Celtic Da’s. A recent health scare results in Pat experiencing a lapse in his football fanaticism and a stark re-evaluation of a lifetime spent as a Celtic fan.
A confused Danny cannot understand his pal’s sudden mood swing and gradually their long-standing match day routine becomes the backdrop to a darkly comedic discourse where they both come to question their Celtic-mindedness, their politics, their hopes, dreams, fears, values and above all else, their evolution from young and gallous into Celtic Da’s.
