Who, or what, is the Prisoner?

The Inquisitor wants the Prisoner to talk and will say and promise anything in return to get answers…or any response at all.

A battle of wills ensues between the Inquisitor and the Prisoner, between faith and reason, between the power of speech and unbreakable silence.

First staged in 2007, The Inquisitor is an elemental theatrical conflict by the award-winning Peter Arnott (The Signalman), in celebration of his 40 years in Scottish theatre.
