Alice Armstrong

’Prodigiously talented … Armstrong’s voice set the hairs on the back of my neck at full attention – I cannot remember the last time I heard such a purity of tone and a depth or range in a youngster’ - Music-News.com ‘Really loving that vocal!‘ - Craig Charles 'Nice pipes, Miss Armstrong' - Phill Jupitus Anyone who has heard Alice Armstrong live will tell you that few can match her diversity, stage presence and range. Previous works with bands such as Crossfire and a co-written album with the Stevie Watts Organ Trio has seen her in the top 20 IBBA albums of 2020 and secured multiple nominations at the 2021 UK Blues Awards, including 'Emerging Artist' and 'Band of the Year'. Alice started 2022 with bang with a sold out launch gig of her6 piece band at the Tuesday Night Music Club, creating a new acoustic duo with multi-award winning musician Matt Long (Catfish, Matt Long & the Revenant Ones) and being nominated for the UK Blues Awards Vocalist of the Year. Venerable, red-raw lyrics are delivered in a constantly evolving, sultry blend of Soul, Blues, R&B, Rock and Funk, peppered with a wry sense of humour. Likened to both Amy Winehouse and Janis Joplin, Alice draws her inspiration from artists such as Aretha Franklin, Dinah Washington, Ray Lamontagne & BB King.
