The Tubs return with Cotton Crown—a bold, darker follow-up to their breakout debut. Fusing jangle pop, pub rock, punk aggression, and sophisti-pop, they’ve drawn comparisons to Richard Thompson, Hüsker Dü, and even The 1975. At the centre is Owen ‘O’ Williams’ sharp, melancholic lyricism and distinctive vocal style, tackling love, loss, and the struggles of life in London.

Their shows are chaotic, cathartic, and full of blistering energy, with guitarist George Nicholls and the powerhouse rhythm section delivering hooks that hit hard. Following praise from Pitchfork, MOJO, The Guardian, and Iggy Pop on BBC 6Music, The Tubs have become must-see live performers at festivals like Green Man and End of the Road.

Support comes from Roscoe, bringing dreamy textures and raw emotion to kick off the night.

One of the UK’s most unpredictable and vital indie bands—don’t miss this.

The Tubs

The Tubs are the new project formed by of Owen ‘O’ Williams and George ‘GN’ Nicholls, best known as two of the primary songwriters in Joanna Gruesome. Also featuring members of Flowers and Garden Centre, The Tubs have impressed live audiences supporting the likes of Flasher, Porridge Radio and Public Practice. Citing an eclectic mix of influences from British folk to post-punk, perhaps the sound that most comes across in Silver Moon is the sort of jangling guitar music more often seen emanating from Australia, via the likes of The Goon Sax or Terry.
