The Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos) is celebrated across North America as a vibrant tribute to life - an occasion where families and communities honour their ancestors with music, dance, and heartfelt remembrance.
In 2025, Ballet La Grana Beatríz Ramírez de Autlán Jalisco from Mexico returns to the stage following their acclaimed 'SOLD OUT 2023' performance, bringing with them a powerful new interpretation entitled “Spirit of the Railway: Day of the Dead in Revolutionary Times.”
Also featuring Mariachi Rosales and Ballet El Grullo.
Set against the backdrop of Mexico’s revolution-era railways, this performance blends traditional Día de Muertos rituals with stories of resilience, movement, and memory.
Through stirring choreography and evocative music, the company pays homage to the souls who travelled—both in life and beyond—through a time of great transformation.
